Terms of sale

These terms of sale govern the distance subscription, by consumers within the meaning of the French Consumer Code, to the subscription offered on brain-quiz.com.

They are made available before you subscribe and must be accepted to complete the subscription. They are archived and provided on request.

The applicable version is the one in force on the day you subscribe. If they change, the new version is sent to you by email before it applies to the next period, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

This English text is a translation provided for information. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Brain Quiz provides self-observation questionnaires and entertainment tests.

Without an account or payment, you get the questionnaires, your total score, the matching result band and a lighter downloadable document.

The subscription is a digital service supplied continuously, online, with no physical medium, tied to a single account. For as long as it runs, it gives access to:

The results, analyses and documents provided are not medical acts, are not produced by a health professional, and cannot establish or rule out a condition.

They cannot be used as supporting evidence with an employer, a school, an insurer or a public authority.

They never replace a consultation. If your results worry you, talk to a health professional.

The subscription comes in two plans: EUR 6.90 per month or EUR 39 per year, all taxes included. Each plan's price is shown inclusive of tax on the subscription page, before you confirm. No struck-through or reference price is shown.

The subscription is a service supplied electronically: the value added tax applied is the one of the subscriber's country of residence within the European Union, and the displayed amount includes it.

The applicable price is the one in force on the day you subscribe, then at each renewal. Any price change is announced by email at least one month before the renewal it applies to, and you can cancel before that date.

The subscription runs for one month or one year depending on the plan you choose. At the end of that period it renews automatically for a period of the same length, unless cancelled.

You can cancel at any time, online, from your account area, with a single button, free of charge and without giving a reason, in accordance with article L.215-1-1 of the French Consumer Code. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep access until that date and nothing is charged afterwards. A confirmation is sent to you by email. Until the current period ends, you can undo the cancellation from the same place.

For the yearly plan, a notice is emailed to you between three months and one month before the renewal date, reminding you of the upcoming renewal and of your option to decline it, in accordance with article L.215-1 of the French Consumer Code.

GHIS may end the subscription in the event of an unresolved payment failure, under the conditions described in the “Payment” section, or of use contrary to these terms, after informing you by email.

Subscribing follows these steps: choosing a plan, a summary of the price and billing period, acceptance of these terms and your express request for immediate performance, then payment.

Before confirming, you can review the details of your subscription and correct any mistake. The confirmation button reads “Subscribe and pay”: it states unambiguously that subscribing entails an obligation to pay, in accordance with article L.221-14 of the French Consumer Code. Confirming it, followed by payment confirmation, forms the contract.

A confirmation email summarising the plan, its price, its billing period, the next renewal date and the agreements given is sent to you on a durable medium.

Payment is made online by card through Stripe. Card details are entered directly with that provider and do not pass through Brain Quiz servers. You can update your payment method at any time from your account area.

The first charge is taken when you subscribe. A charge is then taken at each renewal, monthly or yearly, on the saved payment method. An invoice is emailed after each payment and stays available in your account area.

If a charge fails, you are informed by email and new attempts are made over the following days. If payment still does not go through, access to the subscription features is suspended until it is settled, after which the subscription ends. The free features remain available.

Access to the subscription features opens in your account area immediately after payment is confirmed, and continues without interruption for as long as the subscription runs.

If an analysis fails to generate, you are informed and it is produced as soon as possible. A prolonged unavailability of the subscription features that is attributable to us entitles you to a pro rata refund for the period concerned.

You have fourteen days from the day you subscribe to withdraw, with no need to give a reason, under article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code. Simply let us know by an unambiguous statement, for example an email to contact@brain-quiz.com.

The subscription is a digital service supplied continuously. When you subscribe, you expressly request that performance begin immediately, without waiting for the withdrawal period to end. That request is never pre-ticked and its confirmation appears in the subscription email.

If you withdraw within that period, you remain liable, under article L.221-25 of the French Consumer Code, for an amount proportional to the service supplied up to the time you tell us of your decision, calculated pro rata to the days elapsed on the price of the period subscribed. The remainder is refunded within fourteen days, by the same payment method, and the subscription ends.

After that period, the online cancellation described above remains available at any time.

Subscribing requires an account, created free of charge with a valid email address: that is where your subscription, your attempts and your invoices are attached, and where you can cancel.

Self-observation tests and the related analyses are reserved for people aged 16 or over. Entertainment tests are open from age 13.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping access to your account confidential. The subscription is personal and cannot be shared.

Deleting your account ends the subscription. To avoid losing the remainder of a period you have already paid for, cancel first, then delete the account once the period has ended.

The subscription features are supplied in conformity with the description given on the subscription page and in these terms, and kept in conformity for as long as the subscription runs.

In the event of a lack of conformity, you benefit from the legal guarantee provided for in articles L.224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, applicable to digital content and services, free of charge and regardless of any commercial guarantee.

Write to contact@brain-quiz.com describing the problem: we fix it, produce the analysis concerned again or, failing that, reduce the price or refund the period concerned.

GHIS is liable as of right for the proper performance of the contract, under article L.221-15 of the French Consumer Code, except where non-performance is attributable to the consumer, to an unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party, or to force majeure.

GHIS cannot be held liable for decisions you take on the basis of a result, an analysis or a document, since none of them has any medical value.

The service may be interrupted temporarily for maintenance. If an interruption attributable to us durably deprives you of the subscription features, the period concerned is refunded pro rata.

The data needed to subscribe and to bill you (customer and subscription identifiers with the payment provider, subscription status and dates, invoices) is processed to perform the contract and to keep contractual and accounting records.

Answers to self-observation questionnaires are health data, processed solely on the basis of your explicit consent, collected before the test and separate from the acceptance of these terms.

We acknowledge receipt within 5 working days and answer on the substance as soon as possible.

Under articles L.611-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, after trying to settle the dispute directly with our customer service, you can use a consumer mediator free of charge.

The contract is governed by French law.

As a consumer, you keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence within the European Union.

Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute falls to the competent courts under the protective rules applicable to consumers.
