Self-confidence has three main aspects. This is a feeling of confidence (an internal feeling of strength, law and rightness), it is a confident behavior that demonstrates strength and is characteristic of people with a strong position, and this is decisiveness (confident acceptance and certainty in decisions, determination). When women talk about their confidence, they usually mean a sense of confidence, a sense of confidence. When men speak of their confidence, they often mean their behavior.
The opposite of confidence is uncertainty: inner fear, a feeling of lack of strength, inability to make a decision. Uncertainty is a typical problem for a neurotic and a human child. For adults and mentally healthy people, there is usually no problem of uncertainty, but the task is to develop greater confidence, since this is an important life resource.
Signs of confidence are mostly behavioral, namely calm, a corset of confidence, courage to express oneself and confident behavior.
Calmness is a relaxed body without clamps, lack of fuss in movements, calm facial expression, calm, direct, not “running” look, clear, not confused speech. Corset of confidence: do not slouch, the habit of keeping a straight back, straightened shoulders, high neck, confident gait, clear gestures. The courage to declare oneself: not a “squeaky”, unshackled sonorous voice, loud confident speech, certainty in formulations, decisiveness in conclusions, ability to declare one’s wishes and insist on one’s legitimate rights, readiness to give orders and demand their implementation.
Since confidence is the norm for the majority, it is sometimes difficult to “see” it (these signs of confidence). The confident behavior of one person next to the confident behavior of another looks just like normal behavior. Confident behavior is always easier to see in contrast, against a background of uncertainty.
